When I capture from a VCR into my ATI All-In-Wonder 7500 the mpeg file that it creates is unusable. What's happening is I'll end up with a file that will continuously loop the first few seconds of the video non-stop. Strangely enough, the sound seems to be working the way it should and when I watch the video on my ATI TV viewer it looks fine. Also, when I record from the TV viewer with a cable TV signal it also comes out fine. I'm using the S-Video connector from a Super VHS VCR. Has anyone else experienced this looping effect when capturing from VHS? Thanks.

That was exactly the problem. I tried another VHS tape (non-commercial) and it worked fine. Since the label on this tape was worn off, I wasn't aware that it was copyprotected.
That's the thing I don't understand about ATI. They put macrovision protection on their cards when they don't have to by law. This is an older tape and it's starting to get beat which is exactly why it needs to be backed up. I've seen some links to macrovision removal programs so I'll give those a try. Thanks.
