Hi!
I have problems with IFOEDIT 0.95 when i try to author some dvd's.
These are the passes that i use to make a dvd backup:
1-SMART RIPPER to rip dvd's to Hard Disk.
2-SMART RIPPER to Demux the audio streams and the Video (Now only the Subtitles are in the VOB files)
3-CCE to get the video smaller than the original (to fit on a DVD-r)
4-AC3 DELAY CORRECTOR to fix de delay of the audio stream, if it has a high negative delay
5-VOBEDIT 0.6 to extract the subtitles of the film (I extract them from the smaller VOB's that smart ripper left only with the subtitles)
6-IFOEDIT -> author new dvd. I import the video file that CCE creates, import the audio file, the sub's and the celltimes to create chapters.
I used this process to backup some dvd's that don't fit in one dvd-r, but now i have problems with others like "BLACK HAWK DOWN" because the subtitles from middle of the film to the end don't appear. They only apear in the playback from the beggin of the film to the middle(+/-)... I don't know why it is happening...
Please help me with this problem...
Sorry for my bad English...![]()
Thankyou very much,
Helder

Are you doing NTSC movies or PAL? I'm gonna assume PAL, but if you are doing NTSC films, you wouldn't want to use IFOEdit to author. As far as "why" your method of copying has worked in the past, and why it isn't working now, well, sometimes certain methods aren't consistent. I think that consistency is the key, and what I suggest you try is SUBRIP, as opposed to VOBEDIT 0.6 to get your subtitles. Check out http://www.doom9.org/ and go to the guides section. Choose DVD/MINIDVD and then DVD92DVD5 There will be an entire guide on how to use SubRip to extract your subtitles. Everytime i've had to use subrip, it has extracted the subs flawlessly. Make sure you follow the guide exactly and be aware of the *.spf file which is what you will need at the end to get all your colors correct with the subs. Try it with subrip and report your results. Good Luck
