Dunno if this has been suggested or posted, apologies if it has
    now you can

    1. Preview DVD before you burn
    2. Make any adjustments to anything you want
    3. Choose which software to use to burn it
    4. Add the AUDIO_TS folder
    5. Basically anything you want

all you do is downlad the ULTRAISO utility here
    http://www.ezbsystems.com/index.html

only a trial but it does the job so well worth buying In my eyes to save coasters

    basic instructions
install then goto open file and change it to all files and you can then goto the 1st .PDI file & select it and it loads it up and you will see the VIDEO folder

then just extract it to another folder and viola you have an editable copy of the PDI files

NJOY, as you will now save a fortune in wasted discs, I think you may also be able to use InstantCD in some wort of way to extract PDI files and there is a 30 day trial available also

try reading this thread as I consistantly get exactly the same files regardless of Disc or bits stripped using the method in the post

I also use a CRC checker and both VIDEO_TS contents are absolutely identical in every way

    http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?s=&threadid=46083

Valnar have you used the method of extraction within the thread and then used a CRC checker with your results?

the way that works for me is 1st create a folder I want to extract to then open UltraIso and click on the Folder icon (OPEN) in top left corner

then change File Of Type to All and goto folder with all the PDI files in

click on the 1st PDI file and you should then see the VIDEO_TS folder appear in the window

right click this and select Extract To and direct it to the folder you have just created

It will then seem to freeze the program but if you goto the folder you can see the files being extracted into it

after a few moments it will be finished and you should have an exact copy of the Disc contents if you had actually burnt with Instantcopy and extracted the disc contents back to your HD
this is where I got one of the CRC checkers

DVD Decrypter 3.1.5.0 already has a tool to enable you to load the pdi files and create an MDS file. This can then be burnt directly by the program, or used to mount the image in DAEMON Tools or Alcohol 120% etc.

With a little more testing, I'll release it.

    Hope that helps?!

PDI2ISO v0.10 released (InstantCopy to ISO)
    Hi...

i've compared the PDI files generated from InstantCopy with the iso file generated by UltraISO 5.5 and found out, that the pdi files ARE iso files with a small header (size 130h bytes) in front of the first file (and it looks like if also at the end of the last file).

So i've written a small utility called PDI2ISO which

    1) creates a new file with extension iso and
    2) and copies all of the pdi-files into the new iso WITHOUT that header.

Your original files are NOT touched!!!

After comparing my iso file with the iso files generated by UltraISO i've found out, that my files are longer. But my files are identical up to the point where the UltraISO files ends. Extracting the files from my iso files with IsoBuster works ok and "gives" the same files (file compare) as the extracted files from ultraedit!

The file can be downloaded at pdi2iso_010.zip.

Due to fact that the generated iso file contains all *.pdi?? files you've to store the iso file on a partition capable of storing files > 2GB (e.g. NTFS).

    Regards,

    Gerd Mitländer

PS: Use at your own risk. Zip file should be virus free (checked with McAfee definition 4.0.4247).

just tried version 0.11 and it seems to work great. After converting to an ISO I mounted it as a virtual drive with Daemon and played it with WinDVD and PowerDVD.

  8. how exactly does this pdi2iso work. I tested a movie and would like to convert to iso so I can preview it with daemon tools

couldn't be easier. It just asks for the source directory and a destination directory. To get the best speed make the destination directory a different physical drive (but its not essential).

I don't know if this will work.. (trying it now) but when you select destination in Instant Copy, why not change the pull down from "disc image" to "all files" and name the file MOVIE.iso?

It's doing it's thing right now... and the file that it's creating is indeed an iso file, but I don't know if it will work... anyone tried this? perhaps .pdi files are just default, but it will make iso's too?

There are two versions of the PDI convert program available. The first one was a COMMAND PROMPT program and the second one has a GUI interface that works from windows.

Read this GUIDE to download the GUI .PDI to .ISO converter program and understand how to use IC7:
