  1. This may sound simple but how do you download movie trailers. When I click on the link it will play over the internet (windows media player) but how do I save it.

  2. Hi m8,

i would reccomend using a download manager such as Download Accelerator Plus (get from www.download.com and search for it). if you set it as your default download manager it will, not only allow you to resume broken downloads, it SHOULD mean that just clicking on the link will enable you to download it. if this DOESNL;T work and it still plays in windows media player then if you right click on the link there should be an option to download with download accelerator.

    hope this helps buddy!

If the link is in wmv format that is what the file is.
    A windows movie video!! e.g. Star Trek.wmv .
What do you mean the link to the REAL file??
Trailers you can't save are only meant to be viewed.

lots of websites let you download trailers. just go to google.com and search for trailers download'
or you can get a program like asf recorder that will copy streams. usually the streamingfiles give a link to an asm file but then at then end of the link it will say something like url=http:\\.......... that is the real file . copy that part of the link and then you can download the real file

I've noticed too that most trailers now are streamed files.

    However have you tried:

    http://www.trailersworld.com?

They usually have the most popular trailers as the full downloadable file e.g Terminator 3.

If they don't have it, a quick search using google in the following format

    "Film Name"+trailer+download

will usually find you the complete trailer, by people far more accomplished than I, who have solved this.

once you have the saved asf file you can convert it to mpeg with Tmpgenc
or open it in some versions of vitrual dub 1.4c or something like that
