  1. I'm trying to make a DVD from a Divx file - is this possible to do and if so, which program(s) do you recommend using for this?

    I've tried ffmpeg but I can't get the audio to work though the video looks great. I tried both the QT and mplayer encoders without any luck. One thing I didn't do with ffmpeg is click on 4:3 pulldown - should I have done that to get the audio to work? Any help is greatly appreciated!!

    you should be able to use a quick (dvd) preset in ffmpegX.

    If it doesn't work (this might seem dumb), use Divx doctor to make a quicktime .mov first.

    Burn the resulting dvd folder using toast.
