  1. im trying to take the audio off an avi.file using virtualdub, some work fine others however give me the following fault 'ACM failed to suggest audio decommpression format' this is followed by 'AVIOutputWAV:the handle is invalid' i never had this problem before ,any help would be appreciated.

  3. Some AVIs have audio like AC3 that plain virtualdub doesn't like sometimes.

    Try direct streat and save to wav to see if you can take the audio off into a file. Or try the VirtualdubMPEG2AC3 version.

  4. ive just used a tool called avicodec which told me the files are 'ac3 dvm' ive looked for the virtualdub ac3 version but am unable to find it? is there a specific version or is it a patch,there also is a problem with it starting to save the wav.file then stopping.
