    Hi Boss!
A small bug report. I can't install forty-two. The error comes when I hit install button. The message is: You are not allowed to install etc. contact your administrator..

    I am the admin

I have an idea that this can have to do with the nameing of my harddrive which have spaces "Mac OS X" is the name of it, but I'm not sure. My system is OS X 10.2.4 English.

  5. Just installed the app : so easy !
    Started to rip/encode : so easy !
I'll donate when I have seen the results (especially output size and sync), but I guess it's the same as any result done with ffmpegX.

One question though : it indicates VCD at 352x280 (strange) and SVCD at 480x480 (NTSC resolution) (my DVD is PAL) but it should be 352x288 and 480x576. Something wrong ?
    Thx for the great job

Does ANYONE EVER read ANY docs AT ALL?

Its a cosmetic issue. The tooltips don't change for PAL mode. We said this in the README.

(and folks wonder why you *had* to read the v1 doc )

  7. I have two questions.

    1. Will you leave info on po-box when it's availible? You see, i want to use the app after the 25th of feb.

    2. How can i help with swedish localization?

  8. You're right. 42 is so easy that there is no need to read the manual. Therefore I did not see the remarks...
So please make 42 less easy to use, there will me less stupid questions like mine...

Anyway, works fine for me (still encoding but the test clip was all right)

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

You're alright Yeah we thought about coding some way to "flip the tips" but decided that we had to leave ample things in for folks to complain about or we'd have nothing to post on messageboards.

That's really clever...and i'm glad the PAL code is working for you

  10. I swear i'm a moron or something. Every DVD i've encoded comes out like 1 gigabyte only for the .mpv, that was with 1.0.2, now with 1.5 the godfather part III gives me a 560 megabyte iso.........hmmm......since it transferred 6.000 gigabytes of video to my harddrive, it's hard for me to imagine 42 compressed it to 560 megs.....i didn't use VBR however, ? Should I have? IF you have experience with dvd to dvd-r and 42 please ppm me or aim me at jefwest (on AIM)....could use the help, thanks! KAI KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK

And yes to make sure everyone understands and doesn't tell me to read the manual/readme's I HAVE, i guess like i said i'm just and idiot ;-/

  11. Worth 15 bucks
More if it can be faster...but I doubt. The only faster mpeg encoding I saw was ffmpeg (not ffmpegX), but it did not support letterboxing.
Now dreaming of such a fast encoding with Forty-two...

I kow : we should not expect too much features, or 42 will loose what makes it great !

Again, thx for making it easy and reliable. Didn't test divX, I'm not a divX freak, anyway if it works like VCD/SVCD, it's THE perfect app.

    No luck

After trying v1.5 and decoding for 14 hours (ok ok I have an G3/400 but anyway) the decoding stopes at "decoding audio" mode

Is there not anyway to make a resume from somewhere so I don't have to go through the WHOLE procedure again?
