  1. I have converted a number of xvid files in the passed and they work (had problems with some), but the last three files (different films) have had a perfect picture but no sound. I have tried extracting using Goldwave and virtual dub, but it still does not work.

Also removed NIMO and XVID and re-installed xvid version XviD-04102002-1 but still no sound.

    Can anybody help.

  2. Need more information if I am to help. What are you encoding to? What programs are you using for converting and/or authoring? What type of compression does the audio have? Most likely it has AC3 audio and you need to search the forum to find how to deal with it.

  3. Thanks for that I have done a little more checking...

I get no sound when I play it through windows windows media player. I have checked using Gspot and it is AC3 format. I will have a look at the forum and see how to deal with it.

I had the similar problem when converted some xvid avi files to mpg. I finally solved the problem and came out a step-by-step guide. Hope it can help you.
