    Hi,

I tried the way how it said to fix bad frames, however, I was also wondering if there is anyway at all to fix a bad frame and still have it be part of the movie without deleteing it? Please and thank you.

Thank you for taking the time to help me. I really appreciate it.

For some of the divx's. I downloaded them again, however, I still got the exact bad frames. With other movies though I talked to other people with the same copy and they say where mine has bad frames their copy does not. So I am not really sure how or why it would work like that and also which copies I should try to redownload and which ones not to even bother with? Please and thank you.

I have not used divxfix. Does that work well?

I used something that I read by king john to fix bad frames with virtualdub mp3 or something like that. It worked great, however, the movie was missing the part that was cut out with the bad frames.

That's one of the cons of the bad frames. It takes out the part of the movie with bad frames.

  7. give divfix a try as it may become your best friend. From my limited readings on divfix, it was "developed" for people that download divx (aka avi's) off the internet (of course these avi's are copyright free things ). What happens (at least with 56k modem losers like myself) is that you get bumped off or the wife wants to use the phone or whatever and you stop. then you jump back on. Anyway, you can get bad frames from that and other things. What this does is rebuild the index and fix the bad frames. The app is SUPER easy to use.

I recommend it to all my friends that download from the net after the complain that the start of a film is what they think they are downloading and then the rest of it is something else. You can copy of the .dat file so you are messing with the download do the divfix adn then watch the movie (up to the point you have downloaded). Anyway, this will probably help you. Look on the left under tools for it.

Thanks once again for all your help everyone.

Divfix does not work once the whole movie is downloaded then? Please and thank you. Divfix will fix the .avi, then if there is bad frames while it is downloading then without cutting out that part that gots bad frames? Please and thank you.

I have used divfix before with a all the way downloaded .avi and the movie would not play at all anymore after I used it and so I am kind of afraid to use it with a .avi that was not downloaded all the way yet becasue I would not want the samething to happen.

  10. Yeah, somehow DivFIX helped fix a broken part in CHOBITS for me (episode 2...and this when it wasn't liscened yet...I can't wait to see the ending since it chopped up b4 the subs were completed)

  11. you can use it for both. The is a check box for "keep original movie" that will not mess up the original. It can be used on already (fully) downloaded movies. Do a search for the directions for divfix and that should help you out.

You could use "Check Errors" in DivFix to see if you have any bad frames before rebuilding the index. If you do, take the bad frames out.

    Hope That Helps!!! :P

    Hi,

Thank you once again for all the help. I really appreciate. Divxfix sounds like a great program, however, I am unable to figure out how to use it for the longest time.
