I have videotapes I would like to convert to DVD. My VCR is connected to my Sony DV camcorder which allows digital conversion via my firewire card. When I purchased my Sony DRU500A, one reason I did was because it also contained Sonic MyDVD which claims to allow direct videotape to DVD transfer. Unfortunately this software does not support my specific Sony camcorder (TRV-11). Ideally, I would like to let a tape run unattended for an hour, transfer it with the above setup and then burn to DVD. I do not need any menus or editing.
Does such a thing exist?
Thanks.

well your video should be in avi. just use something like CCe Mainconcept or TMPGEnc to name a few then just convert it to mpeg. well if you bought the sony burner it should have came with showbiz have you tred to use that? i think that is much better then sonic my dvd anyways.
