Check out this site to save space on your MPEG-1 or MPEG-2 files without losing quality. It really does make a difference and the quality is awesome. They seem to prefer you use TMPGEnc on this site, but you can enter the quantize matrix settings in other programs like CCE(ridiculously overpriced)or MainConcept(just as fast as CCE and only $150) and come out with better results. These settings really do make a difference on space without killing quality!!!!!!!!Just read the forums there, people are ecstatic with the results and have spent hundreds of hours testing these templates and tweaking them. KVCD.NET has created a cult-like following.

Hate to be the one to take the wind out of your sail on this one, but most of the people on this site know about kwag's template and are avid users of them. I believe that he is also a moderator on this site.
Hope this doesnt discourage you from sending things you find out because I/we are always glad to have people let us know about new technologies and ways to make the process easier and/or better. -
no kwag is not a moderator on this site. but he does post here. i have used his templates for a while now. at first i hated them cuz they would take like 50 hours. i guess i was using them wrong or something cuz once i started using the kvcd x3 i was getting great results. encoding was only about 12 hours with filters compared to the 50 with no filters. plus with file prediction, you can accurately calculate the quality for the cd size. they play perfect on my dvd player.
