is it possible to rip dvds from my xbox via ftp form my PC?

I have some Tori Amos & TOOL DVDs that i just want to rip some of the music videos from. [i just want to mess around with them.]

I have my xbox networked to my PC via a xover cable.

I do not have a dvd rom in my PC, thats why i was wondering if this was possible.

By just using an FTP program, i am able to access the DVD on my xbox, buy when i copy of the .vob files they play all messed up. {i guessing because they are encrepted]

i have check out a lot of xbox mod site, and havent found any information on this. {maybe because it is not possible??.. beats me.] so i figured that i would ask here.

this is probley a stupid question, but i figured that i would ask it neways.

this is destined for disaster and failure. why not just buy a cheapo dvd-rom, i think there are some under $50. sell a couple of games you don't play anymore on ebay, you'll break even.

yea, im am thinking about picking up the new plextor dvd burner when it comes out later this month.

Yeah buy a DVD-Rom drive damnit!
