If you PM me your address there'll be £1 in one penny pieces winging it's way to you! (incidentally i'm sure it's been asked before, but whats TGPO mean?) -
tgpo
Short for:
The Great Pat-o
It's a nickname I received in 7th grade. I got tired of typing The Great Pat-o everywhere, so I addreveated it to simply tgpo. -
my avatar is Toshiro Mifune in Yojimbo, mostly because I love the movie, partially because I couldn't think of anything better that would be recognizable at avatar size!
(as far as "housepig", although it was suggested today in a PM that it's because I'm a "scum bag" and a "loser", it's actually a Korean term [phonetically jip de jee] that translates to "house pig" and is a term wives use to describe their husbands. My wife spent a few years in Korea growing up, and when she told me that I thought it was hilarious....)- housepig

To get mine, I extracted some frames from a video of me racing. I then used Photoshop and Image Now to make the animated GIF. I had to resize and compress the heck out of it to make the 6 kb limit.
I think I have the coolest avitar!!!Got my retirement plans all set. Looks like I only have to work another 5 years after I die........ -

I mean, who here thinks "geez, my avatar is some crap!" ??

You got a point housepig. It's just that I've been into bikes most of my life. And I love going fast, so a bike at speed is a beutiful thing.
Also, I built that bike from the ground up. I've raced it at a National level and won many races on it. Lots of good memories.Got my retirement plans all set. Looks like I only have to work another 5 years after I die........ -

Well, I guess I will resurrect this thread.
Mine is the logo of The Federation of Space Loonies from the video game Solarjetman (can you guess where I got may name too?) released first on the Commodore 64 and then later on the NES. My avatar is from the NES version.
Very fun game. I still play it occationally.

although I'm going to go back to Toshiro Mifune soon, my current avatar is Mentok the Mindtaker, Judge on "Harvey Birdman, Attorney At Law".
at this moment, he's saying "We will proceed with opening arguments. Why? Because Mentok wills it so!!"- housepig

The black is his mouth open. Here is the original capture I did from the NES (cropped of course).

My original avatar (before reincarnation to TGPO version) was for a reminder to my husband that he owes me a Wishnik for winning a bet. (I used to collect them when I was a kid.) The bet was who had the hero role in the series "V".
I had to go to IMDB and save pics to prove I was right.
My nickname is also from when I first met my husband and told him my full name and he said "That's a lot of Gs". So the nickname stuck - for online stuff.
I don't have enough posts yet to change my member status line -
I am just a big fan of James Bond and all of the 007 movies. :P
