Is not as easy as that..

The program probably install something more in the registry of Windows, and even when you reinstall it again, it knows when do you install it for the first time. The only way is to erase everything from your HD including your OS...

Or more easily, find the registry string and edit it.

Did you read the whole thread? It was posted from mb1's site. Check his guide, last page.

  4. Exactly Faceman. WHy do people want menus? Worthless if you ask me. I want the movie and movie only. I have had no problems with DVD2One but I want to see the quality of this to see if I can see any differnence. I will do what Faceman says. Rip the DVD to HD. Create new IFO. Load in instant copy and burn.

With the english translated on that last page I don't even know what to do to the registry. Is that fix to make it go past 15 days or is it to just keep the main movie?

  6. I believe it is so you can just select the movie, but when you do it comes out low. I am not 100% sure on that.

What will you do with DVDs like the X-files seasons, band of brothers, etcc?? Just get it and play with the chapters to find the 2 or 3 episode?
I just tested it with X-files season 2 DVD1 and it WORKED great. can't wait to get that sucker
I also want to keep some nice menus like In SW DVDs that has very nice animated movie that are different depending on the default language of your DVD player. Those that didn't know should try.

ps: about the calculation, if you read the german translated you will see they also talk about that and say that Pinnacle is working on that.

The fix lets untag title sets, I am testing now to let you know if this will let u keep just the main movie should be done in an hour if u can wait. Will not change the trial period, Just opens up the check boxes by the title sets. Well as soon as this is done I will post. But all u do is goto registry find DVDmagic and change the offset from 0 to 1. Latter

  10. I'm just curious if ANYONE else has seen two applications in the Instant Copy Folder. I have two application/executable files. One is "CD Wizard" And the other is MultiCopy. As I mentioned before, the CD Wizard will NOT open when I select it. I guess it isn't a big deal, i'm just wondering if anyone else has that icon in their Instant CD/DVD folder. It's also good to know this demo is good for a FULL 15 days with ALL functionality with respect to DVD's. More specifically, the audio of 5 minutes max is apparently for SVCD's as mentioned before, so that's another great sign. As far as the 15 day issue goes, I have played around with the registry and been able to not have to go the route of reinstalling the OS or Partitioning and formatting the HD to get the program to act as though it's a fresh install. The thing is that it is NOT always simple, and I have a feeling it won't be that simple with this program. I'm gonna play around with it and see. Of course, If I get it to work, I'll purchase the full version anyway, as that is the only right thing to do, just like with DVD2ONE. :P If someone can let me know about that CD Wizard Icon, I would appreciate it. I'm just curious, because some other posters don't seem to have that icon in their folder.

The older ver. of this program when onder Just VOB thier were those folders added but this program does not put in any other folders than the InstantCopy folder, I will install on a fresh machine and let u know what i end up with but done two installs now and on both machines nothing but the instantcopy folder, like I said when i had Instantcopy 6 i think mabey earlier it added those other folders you have and I could not use the CD wizard. Hope this helps

  13. How is the quality compared to the original? Hopefully 90%+ I am going to test it on Spiderman right now... anybody know how to make screenshots with WinDVD or PowerDVD?

    Thanks!

  14. That protection is pritty good. Look at the same package for some stuff I cooked up a few years ago. Yes you would need to erase everthing including the OS to redo it. But 15 days is pritty nice.

Current US selling price is around 37~38 dollars. Darn cheep. Wish Amazon had it since I dont get hit with tax from them where I am. Else it three dollars more. Oh well its only money. The root of all goodness!

Confirmed UFO.... oops... Was using one of the UFO series for test... The VCD I made audio goes for 5 minutes then stops. Video continues. Wonder what they are using for a MPEG1 compressor? Better than the one in their Studio package!

Also cant see but doing a DVD to VCD you get no chapter or menu just the SINGLE feature you select. For example UFO Disk 1 has three eps and one small short video. It pops up with a menu asking you to pick one. Also it has a simple player with a Start stop button. Would not work but have no DVD soft player on that system and asume it uses it to play in its small window.

Gandyman, yea, that does help. I downloaded this file off of someone that mirrored, and it wasn't DHLuke. I"m thinking that they uploaded an older version now that you said that. I'm gonna have to check it and see. That would suck if that were the case. Ok, I just checked, and nowhere does it say Version 7 within the app itself, but it does say it in the Readme file. Also, I have the .AC3 is limited to 5 minutes and the 15 day download, so it has to be version 7. It also says the year "2003" when I open the app, so putting all of these together, it appears as it is version 7. But inside the INSTANT CD/DVD folder, I have two sub-folders. One is for "shared" files, and the other says "Instant Copy." Within the Instant Copy folder are two executable files. The CD Wizard file, as well as the MultiCopy file. The CD Wizard file doesn't work, and apparently, as you said, it didn't work on an earlier version, so that is fine. But now i'm wondering why I have a "shared" sub file and noone else does. Also, why do I have the CD Wizard with this new version, and noone else does. Odd, but I guess I'll have to see if it gets the job done. If it does, I guess all of the rest is meaningless, but still interesting, nonetheless. Thanks again for the info Gandyman.

Be Careful, you may ruffle some feathers with that comment. Even more, people aren't gonna be too happy knowin' they just lost out $50 bones or whatever it was they paid for the program. Now their gonna have to shell out more for Instant Copy 7. Oh well, such is life. :biglaugha:

  16. Not to beat a dead stick but why wuld I use instantcopy for 3 hours when I can use CCe in the same amount of time. Since CCE is already set up on my comp I click a few buttons and its done in 3 hours. The reason I liked DVD2ONe is speed. Are Instantcopy discs as good quality as CCE? If they are the same I might as well stick to CCE. I don't want menus either.

  17. This program doesn't work. It won't let me do anything. I try and select custom resizing and when I go to begin the process, it says something SID and an error message. I'm confused.

Okay finnished testing it with reg fix, Lets u do away with extras, warnings, DTS intros, but will still keep menu. Hope this helps somone. It takes me aound 2H 30Min from start to finnish, that is 18 min to rip, 1H 10 to 20 Min, about 18 Minutes to burn, and time to set each program up the way I wanted and pick options. Done two disk, quality is better than DVD2ONE, but I do not think as good as CCE, have not done any really complex video yet. Will try, but if u are looking fo no menu at all I think this does not do it, but still testing so Hope this helps someone.

Mike, there are many reasons, but i'll just name a few. For one, if you want to keep your menus and extras, this program will allow that and you don't have to go through numerous steps to keep them. Secondly, if you want to keep subtitles, using CCE and Maestro is a real pain. Everyone that has authored with subtitles knows exactly what I mean.

I am not personally all for menus and extras, and or subtitles. However, in certain instances it might be cool to keep them, especially when the movie isn't at a high bitrate or it is barely over 4.37 GB's. Then I can use this program and keep ALL of those things, EXACTLY like the original, with absolutely no noticeable quality difference. As I mentioned, I personally don't keep subtitles often, but in some movies, such as Attack of the Clones, where there are five or six parts throughout the movie with different aliens speaking and the subtitles are NOT hard-coated onto the DVD, then you REALLY NEED Subs, and this program seems to be the answer for many.

If you are trying to justify your $ spent on DVD2ONE, and as you mentioned in your other thread, you are so fortunate to not have any issues with DVD2ONE, then just keep using DVD2ONE and forget about CCE or Instant Copy 7. It's not for you, since you have a method that you are happy with. By the way, I didn't know there were "live" sticks. I guess you meant, not to beat a dead horse.

  22. I can't get the error message to show up as a .gif file. I ripped the full movie in file mode using decryptor. The error message is: the owner SID on a per-user subscription doesn't exist.

you all are funny with comparing programs to other like this peenucle 7 and dvd2one...

I personally never "STICK" with one app to make a DVD... thats retaded!

It all depends on what I want to do... I I just wanna copy the movie and dont wanna waste time with BS MEnus (and yes Menus are for the dumb girls), I would use dvd2one

If I have no choice but to use menus for the complete first season of the "simpsons", I would prolly use peenucle 7.

If I wanna put vcds on dvd I would use ifoedit.

If I wanna put downloaded mpgs, asf, avi, divx, to dvd I would use tmpg encoder and ifodit

Just be happy you got options now when just a few months ago we did not have as many.

And I still dont know how people can say the quality of DVD2ONE is bad?!? Maybe my eyes are just more forgiving than most
    Quote Quote
  24. no one said dvd2one quality was bad. It just is good. You can see artifacts..yes sometimes you must really look hard other times they'll be obviously but the movie is totally viewable. Well InstantCopy is great quality and much better than dvd2one. With a statement like that you think dvd2one sucks..not at all it just doesn't match the transcoding quality. No one ever said dvd2one is on trial here.

And yes I'm a freaking retard and proud of it.

  28. Anybody having problems writing to an image file? About 20 seconds after the begining process starts it says "Failed to Set Data for d:\image.pdi." Anybody know how to fix this?

Are we supposed to be ripping the DVDs with DVD Cryptor using an ISO image or just the regular .vobs and .ifos?
