compressing

i want to convert my mpeg1 movie to divx for that i used vitual dub
and used the tutorials on this web
but after opening the file in v dub it shows all the codec in video compression window but in the audio it only show few offf them
not even mpeg layer 3 even though the divx4, divx5, nimo is installed on my computer. can any one tell me how can see mpeg layer 3 or lame audio codec in the audio compression window

how do u install lame audio

You could try installing The Nimo's Codec Package as it comes with a plethora of codecs to suit your needs.
