  1. what the hell is this error? I get it when I try yo convert an avi to mpeg2 in tmpgenc.

    Check and see if you have the P3Package.dll is in you TMPGEnc dir. It should be in there, if not reinstall and or download.

  3. I extracted the files to the virtual dub directory because that was the default that came up. Do you think that may be the problem?

    Could be. You need to have that .dll in the same dir as TMPGEnc.exe is in..
