  1. Hi, I need a program that I can easily create dvd jackets with. I think you can do this with a regular graphics program like Adobe Elements but I'm sure that wiuld be extremely hard for me. I need a program designed for it with templates and everything. Sorry if this question is in the wrong forum - I wasn't sure where to post it. Thanks for any help.

I use Adobe Photoshop. I used a ruler to measure a commercial DVD jacket sleeve, and set guides accordingly. It produces beautiful sleeves.

I don't recommend it for burning, but I did see that Roxio EZ CD/DVD Creator v6.0 has DVD templates in it's Label Creator program. I do use it for all my labelling, etc, and it does work well for that.

i have photoshop, and made a nice template so all I have to do is type in the name of the movie, go to amazon.com to get the cover art (click on the image for a bigger version) an paste it into place, and hit print.

to make the template, create the photoshop guides with measurements that you can take from the original insert (and trim off a 1/16th on each side so when you cut it out it fits great)

i use regular paper for the jewel case back, and the thin, matte photo paper for the covers (15.00 for 50 sheets.) I can do 2 covers per sheet, and one back per sheet (but its gen purpose paper so who cares)
