    i need to convert a 44 khz to a 48 khz so DVDSP will accept it. any ideas?

    quicktime pro, export aiff then settings/options.

    sound ap. os 9 only i think, free.

    i just need to re-encode at 48 khz. how can i do that.

    qt pro, open file then file, export, aiff, options set to 48. sound ap, i don't have it infront of me right now but look at menu bar and find convert file and check the options appropriately to get to 48.


    if you have dsp, do you also have a.pack? if so i'd reccomend ac3-ing the audio too so it's smaller and you can get more on the dvd.

    you can also use ffmpegX.
    Select the file, choose video codec - passthough (ffmpeg) and uncheck the encode video box.
    Choose mp2 or ac3 as audio codec, 224 as audio bitrate and 48khz as the sampling frequency.
    Encode.
