Quick burning question.

I burned a couple dvd-rs with burnnow max. I burned the VIDEO_TS as a data disk. They worked fine on my xbox.

Then I burned one with Nero (using the same media) with the "make a dvd video" mode. I noticed There was a VIDEO_TS folder with all the files inside AND there was an empty AUDIO_TS folder.
My xbox won't recognize this disc. It says XBOX can't recognize this disc. But other dvd players will.

Does anyone know what I did wrong?

I used Nero for a long time and had a lot of problems with DVD. It has been said many times and in many ways in this and other forums, NERO does not make 100% DVD Compliant Files, in my opinion no matter how you set it. I will NOT use NERO anymore for DVD unless you like making costers. I use Record Now Max and all my DVD compliant troubles are gone.

Been there, done that, didn't work on Panasonic's STILL, I don't use it, no more for any DVD! Coasters cost to much!8)

I am ready to try recordnow max. I'm just not sure how to burn a dvd with it. Do I just make a data disc and put the VIDEO_TS folder in it? I ripped the dvd if FILE mode with dvddecrypter. Is there a better way or is this alright?

Any help will be appreciated.

Stay away from Nero. What I do is make an image of my VIDEO_TS folder with img tools (http://www.doom9.org) then burn the image with DVD Decypter. This works all the time and it's all freeware.

Ironic thing is that I used to have great luck using image tool and DVD Decrypter to create the image and burn the disk. Last time I did it, it only played in my computer and Pioneer DVD player. Hasn't played in any other DVD player we have tried. A friend took the same files and burned them with the latest version of Nero and it has worked in every player we have tried. Most people seem to have had better luck with the latest version of Nero.

For the record, I did find out that there is a newer version of Image tool that I need to try. I tend to create duplicates of stuff I have already mastered so I like saving stuff as .iso files. DVD Decrypter provides a very simple interface to burn the disks from the image.
