    hey Im starting some projects on making some menu's but I dont know anything , what program or anything , what the size is suspose to be when I draw it on photo shop , how to make the buttons accessable , and when I burn it what kind of file do I burn with the DVD-R? to get the menu in front of the movie..
    Slowly Im gettin this DVD-R stuff :)

  4. Well what program are you going to be authoring your dvd with? The process is a little different. DVD Maestro, Ulead DVD Workshop, Scenartist?

    Personally I use Maestro and create everything in Photoshop.

    use Ulead dvdmoviefactory. i do, it will allow a BG image (.bmp) a bg music which loops (.mp3) and even an intro clip which runs when you first put the disc in.

    that's all i ever need, you'd be surprised how awesome a dvd menuy looks when you have a custom bg and sound. the buttons are done in the program.

  6. I agree Ulead DVD MovieFactory makes it very very easy. A trial is available at ulead.com. And it likes the Half D1 352x480 caps I make from old Video8.

    If you make menu bitmaps by hand try 720x480 or 704x480 for NTSC, 720x576 or 704x576 PAL. If you'd like some DVD and other video logos they are at the site below.

    Panasonic DMR-ES45VS, keep those discs a burnin'

    Thanks for the advice , I have tried using Ulead but its stuck at 4 percent and 3 percent for like 20 minutes long! could my disc be mess up? Im using a a03 pioneer and have the lastest firmware and burning at 2x.. Im trying to get some mpg on my dvd-r the media is Mitshu
