mpeg to avi converter!??!

i need a free program to convert mpeg to avi, any suggestions, i've tried virtualdub, and it lost frame sync with audio, help!!!!!!!!!!!

If it's MPEG-2, use DVD2AVI

Look in the tools section or goto www.mpegx.com

Flask mpeg will do what your asking. Simply open the mpeg & select the output as avi. Well easy & its free.

yep the above is good, but ive always come back to tmpegenc, ive tried other but i find tmpegenc has more control over final encoding , although its not free im sure nonlatest version are around fo free

TMPGEnc does not convert mpeg to avi. It does avi to mpeg.

EO Video is another good programme, its free and can encode mpeg1/2 to avi and visa versa, just download it from
www.download.com or just look in the tools section, its a 30 day free trial as well so you plenty of time to mess around with it.

oh, silly me, i use the latest vdud which has mpg support
