  1. <Edited - please do not discuss unreleased movies - see rules>

codec and VBR audio. After extracting the audio like I do with all of my downloaded movies I load them into TMPGEnc. After I get ready to encode the whole thing freezes and I cant do anything. It only does this with this particular move. Can anybody tell me why it is doing this? Thanks

First of all it has bad frames in it and
second of all for xvid avi´s you should up the
    directshow priority in tmpg

  3. Hi guys and girls,

Not sure if this has already been covered, but I've had some success with the xvid - vcd conversion. Using AviC.exe (the same as fourCC changer I think) , which came with the Xvid codec, I've changed my video file settings to Div4 in each box, clicked on apply and then have been able to do a normal conversion to vcd using TMPGEnc vers 2.58.44.152. No need to remove sound to wav or anything!!! Then burn with Nero as per usual!

    Hope this helps!

Changing the fourCC is one way to make it possible for
tmpgenc to encode a xvid avi, but after experimenting I´ve discovererd that it doesn´t always work. Often when you make more advanced settings in tmpgenc it doesn´t work. However changing the directshow priority always works. At least for me

  5. I have tried to up the priority to at least 2 in direct show reader, but when I load the video source I get a windows error that says TMPGEnc has caused an error in Quartz.DLL. TMPGEnc will now close. Any help?
