Adding audio to video

I am trying to encode an svcd with subs and when I frameserv from virdub and try to load the vdr file AND the extracted wav file, it gives me an error , something about not being able to initialize the ACM
so what I did was go ahead and encode with only video, what can I use to add the audio later or even bypass that ACM error completely?

for svcd, convert the wav file to mp2 and multiplex it after in tmpgenc.
