I've been using Ulead Video Studio to capture MPEG-2 480X480 with the maximum bitrate of 6628. Then I use TMPEGenc Plus to convert to VBR SVCD. A couple days ago TMPEGenc stopped recognizing MPEG files recorded with Ulead. I know the videos work because I watch them and can convert with Ulead, but the quality is not as good. I even tried different free versions of TMPEGenc and none of them recognize my MPEG files anymore. Anyone have any clue why this might be happening?

i used to have the same problem but i think i solved it by going to environmental settings or options and clicked on the last tap Vfapi plugins something like taht then u see a list with checked or unchecked boxes with Priority = 1 0 or -1 try setting different priority for avi reading or something to do with reading a file.
sorry i cant explain it clearly. wish u luck.
