E-Mail Issues..

Baldrick,
I think I just figure out something (bug I think) regarding e-mail
notifications. Ok, say you respond to a thread. Now, you have e-mail
notification, and when someelse adds to the thread, you get notificed via
e-mail.

But wait, a few days later, you feel the FORUM needs some work done on it.
So, you do you thing or things and in some cases, maybe you have to turn
off or reset e-mail notifications messages.

Then, later on, when you've fixed it, you continue as normal.

Now, you're busy w/ viewing new threads that come along. Hay, you spot
a thread in the Latest Posts (main page) that you know you should hvae
received an e-mail notification from. But, you didn't. And, perhaps you
begin to see this same thread pop up a 2nd time a couple hours later, and
so on. Now, you curious, but that doesn't matter too much. Anyways,
you finally go into the thread and read it, and decide you want to respond
again to it. So, you respond.

Now, later on, you begin to receive e-mail notifications again. Happy are
you

Oh, but now, a day later, FORUM is worked on again. Perhaps it was the
same work done previously. Well, in any case, now you are not receiving
any e-mail notes on your thread again.

Well, this has happened to me quite a bit. Example is
DVD2ONE results

I just htought that a case scenario would better describe what my issue
is w/ e-mail notification, hence, given the above, is it a BUG ??

When did this happen? (I may have missed it)

The forums crashed a few days ago becasue baaldrick was fooling with teh MSL stuff and the database went down... I am not sure on the specifics..

hmm...

Just for your curiosity.. All The Time !!

Not a big deal though. But, this has ben going on for several months now.
But, Feb 11th, is when I first reported it (as a BUG I think) as I started to
notice it as something happening on a consistant bases.

Anyways.. other than that, it's the FORUM performance has ben fine.
