Hi all , this is my first post so if I missed the answer in my forum search's or Im posting in the wrong one I apologize right off the bat. If not here's my little issue , I have an avi the is in 16.9 format and looks great , but Im having a real problem converting it to run on my dvd , I have a JVC unit that will play damn near anything but when I convert the avi to a vcd I lose the format ( everything looks good n scrunched if that makes sense) in other words the nice widescreen 16.9 format goes bye bye , I have both honestechs encoding program and the tmpg ( think I spelled that wrong) encoding and I've run both but with no luck , wonder is someone would be kind enough to do some hand holding and let me know where I going wrong ?? , The avi is a backup copy of my own personal dvd's and before you think Im full of it , Ive got three kids and they've toasted 2 dvds already and I thought it would be alot better if they could bugger up a 50cent cdr backup than the original , anyway thank you for any and all help in advance
cheers
Mike

so.....from what i picked up, i guess your movie goes from widescreen to fullscreen when encoding, so in tmpgenc, at settings>advanced tab, set the video arrange method to "full screen(keep aspect ratio)"
