    1 - 5
    5 - 10
    10 - 15
    15 - 20
    I am still burning coasters.
I filed for bankruptcy and never did get a succesful burn.

  2. How about "How do you watch your DVD's?"

On my $100,000 home screening room
On my 75 inch plasma TV with $25,000 speakers
On my 50 inch plasma that costs more than my car
    On my $10,000 home theater
On my plasma TV from Gateway
On my $2000 HDTV and home theater
On my 32 inch TV in the living room
On my 19 inch TV in my dorm room
On my Grandma's huge black and white TV
On my PC, can't afford a TV
Watch DVDs? I can't any to burn
    <insert tgpo joke here>

  4. With the coming of HD-DVD, the consumer will need an HDTV to take advantage of the resolution.

Now the only way that HD-DVD will overtake the regular DVD market is when HDTV's take over the regular TV market.

I think that % is the catalist in the switchover to the HD-DVD format and it's stronghold on the market.

I think it would be interesting to see who here has an HDTV and who still has a regular TV.

That % could be a usefull gauge to predict the switchover to HD-DVD.
Don't give in to DVD2ONE, that leads to the dark side.

Blu-Ray "pressed" movies are coming around year 2006, what do you think about it?

    - Yes, my first BR movies will be xmen3 and jurassic park4
    - Let the hype past then buy
    - I'll stop collecting DVDs now or sell them right away.
    - I just rent and probably ripp it
    - I gonna transfer my DVDs to Blu-Ray
    - I just download BRDRs or BRDR-rips elsewhere
    - Forget it!
    - Nah, Blu-Ray has "blue screen of death" coz they will be using Microsoft's codec.
    - Nah, Ricoh/Panasonic has 1 terrabyte opitcal disc by the year 2010
    - My loveones told me that I better stop this ever-changing hobby.
    - tgpo wrote a guide about BRD to DVDR/DIVX/XVID/(S)VCD and vice versa ...coz a lot of newbies are asking in www.brdrhelp.com

"Do you use your computer (surfing, gaming, encoding etc etc..) during DVD burning."

It's a pretty simple poll but I'd be interested to see the results.

    1. Get you own damn avatar
    2. Take someone elses avatar

It has come to my attention that when I replied to a post I told someone to change their avatar because I knew they had taken mine, the reason I knew is because of the font I used to make it. I would just LOVE to know if people think its ok to 'USE' someone elses or should they GET THEIR OWN! Thank you.
If at first you don't succeed; call it version 1.0

Let's get real here and face the music -

Total retail value of the cracked software that I use on my computer:

    1. $0
    2. < $100
    3. < $250
    4. < $500
    5. < $1000
    6. < $2500
    7. > $2500

This would be the most interesting poll ever, and it would probably shut this site down! I don't use cracked software; though I have disks of it from friends, I cannot morally justify using it since I make my living by writing it.

I think this would be interesting too. How many people have used sharware software withoug contributing? Not that I am on my high horse looking down on anybody. But I think if we got some honest answers it would be interesting results.

  24. Ok wanted to do this last december but had to travel on short notist and could not suggest as a year end pole.

In 2003 what was the greatest advance.

    1) Transcoding softwares instead of full reincoding a disk.
    2) Cheep DVD drives that do +- R.
    3) Cheep DVD media.
    4) Fare to decent DVD authoring.
    5) Tgpo superior to all of the above.
    6) None of the above.

How about.........Who is the most famous person you've ever had a conversation with?
