What's the longest SVCD/CVD you ever put on one (80min) CD?

1) 40min or less
2) 41min-50min
3) 51min-60min
4) 61min and over
5) What ever needed to make the movie on two CDs
6) Just as much as Tgpo does, he's my guru!

To note, my longest SVCD on one CD was of the movie "Contempt". Something around 97min 52sec ( ) !!!

How about: Splitting Movie To 2 Or More Discs

1. No, never. I would rather go back to VHS than change discs during a movie.
2. Doesn't bother me, my player holds more than one disc.
3. Yeah, I'll do whatever it takes to maintain the original quality.
4. Only if the movie is worthy.
5. Like TPGO I have trained my dog/cat to change the discs for me.

I realise this will probably fire up a heated discussion like it usually does, but I am interested in seeing the numbers. Of course the options could be altered a little so it would be relevant to DVD, VCD... etc... etc.

Or how about: How Much Video Quality Are You Willing To Sacrifice To Put A Movie On One Disc

1. None, if I know it's not 100% I wont enjoy the movie, I will just pick at every flaw I can think of.
2. 0-5% "It's only 5% who cares"
3. 5-10% "No one will notice"
4. 10-20% "Umm.. well I guess it still looks OK"
5. 20-30% "Just gotta make sure I'm atleast 5 feet from the screen at all times"
6. 30-40% "That's OK I'll just watch it on my little TV"
7. 40-50% "Write something amusing here"
8. I will do whatever it takes, and if it cant be done then I wont try. I'd rather go out and buy a second copy of the original.

For the record i dont care too much personally, my eyes just go to all the little imperfections because subconciously they know what to look for and are still in is-it-good-enough-or-shall-i-recode mode. I worry a little more whether other people watching it will think it looks like ass, but most the time, people dont seem too bothered so long as the movie itself is good. Plain VCD looks as good to 'em as VHS (=good enough) if well coded, and xVCD... well i've had one or two questions of "is this on the TV then?!" and "how did you get this on DVD already? hey you get a good picture out of that cheap player..." so singledisc isnt yet a prob with smart coding.

How about..... whats the longest you'd dare put on one disc (..this after i just discovered a divx someone gave me is like 3 hours and 15 minutes.. think even I'd be splitting that.. 3 hours is already pushing it a little far.. quite how they made it watchable as a singledisc hi-rez divx, must be some kind of voodoo)
