I mentioned this in passing while doing another poll (my favorite administrator), but wanted to put it here as well....

How about a poll for the people with avatars to explain the significance of them. Or a combination of their avatar and user name.

Mine is macleod, and if no one guessed it, it is because I am a HUGE highlander fan.

I was writing some comments in another forum and though I'd pass it along here. We all have stories about rebates. Maybe a poll to see which company stinks at doing rebates (always trying to screw you over). Its a toss up between Office Max and Compusa. Figured would use stores vs. individual vendors.
-
I bought a cd-rom drive with a mail in rebate. THe company never sent it to me, but Circuit City gave it to me, in cash. In the end they paid me $9.99 to take the cd-rom from them . I never did get the company's rebate. . I never did get the company's rebate.

Back in 1985, when you watched Back to the Future in the movie theater, did you see "To Be Continued" at the ending?

 1. Yes, I remember it clearly just like yesterday.

In one of the forums someone asked what type of pens people used to label their discs. It got quite the response...sharpie, staedtler lumocolor etc. Is it Poll worthy?

Give me more 'real' options. I just use a sharpie, and I can think of many funny ones, but I need as many "real" options as you can think of.Originally Posted by ZippyP.

	TGPO,
How would you go about starting a poll to see who uses what for VCD-SVCD, with what processor, and a particular package ( conversion), with a particular movie DVD? It would have to be the same DVD, as it wouldn't mean much if you did a 4 hour movie and I did a 2 hour movie, and others did something totally different.
I've been using DVDx and getting fair results, with about a 5-6 hour, from the disk, render time, SVCD, defaults for almost all.
Personally, I'd suggest Harry Potter, as anyone who has kids probably has the DVD, besides which, I like the movie.
Things are too complicated to setup in some of the packages in the guides on the site. Also some of the integrated packages, Gordian Knot, etc.
Are there settings in DVDx that would speed things up, and still, or, maybe give better output than my defaults?
I would like to know if my render times are adequate, or if I'm going thru a whole bunch of motions that cause me to fall asleep half way thru.
I'd be grateful if you could advise.
 George
BTW; A sharpie has never spun off any of my disks at 48X, so that's my vote.
