I have a movie file (slides, transitions, and music) that I made several years ago with an original Ulead program. For some reason unknown to me, I saved it then using Microsoft MPEG-4 Video Codec V2. Now, several years and a DVD writer later, I'm trying to write it onto a DVD. I've tried both Sonic MyDVD 4 and Roxio 5 - the file plays perfectly in their preview windows, but when written to the DVD or even rendered to another file using MPEG2 or something else, the transitions hang completely or are very jumpy. When previewed in Pinnacle Studio 7 and 8, the transitions also have problems and the audi/video sync is off. Brand new files saved as MPEG2 work just fine, so I guess the problem is with that original codec, right? Any remedies you can suggest, possibly converting to another codec? I'm a nembie so please be specific with answers and how to's. Thank you.
