  1. Newbie Here,
Hello, I have a question about Dvd ripping. I used the DVD Decrypter and ripped the following files to my assigned folder on my hard drive:
    PLS file 1kb
    DVD video 1kb
    Winrar archive 4,194,302kb
    I01 File 63,906
    MDS File 5kb
Im not sure which one I should use to write with. Also should I put the blank DVD-r in my cd burner or in my DVD rom (not a writer)? Is it possible to turn this file to a SVCD?

    Thanks in advanced

  2. Take a look at the "DVD Rip" faqs to the left. As an intro:

You can't burn a DVDR with a CDR drive.
    You can't read a DVD on/with a CD-DOM drive
An 80min CDR holds 800MB of MPEG data, x(S)VCD
A DVDR holds 4.3/4.7GB of data
TMPGenc can be downloaded for free, CCE cost much money

Hi jaybird, you appear to be using dvd decrypter in iso mode judging by the files you have there,if you have a dvd rewriter you would select iso write in dvd decrypter to write the largest of those files [4,194] back to a blank dvdr this would then put the full film onto the blank.

  5. Not to be rude but you clearly haven't read the guides to the left. It's all explained there.

TMPGenc is a program to encode MPEG1 and MPEG2 files (video, audio or both). It's freeware (or mostly so). Take a look at:

    https://www.videohelp.com/sefy/?id=ClassicalGuide.html

That's a good place to start.

  6. Thanks Vejita-sama your not being rude. I did read to the left thats how I got here. I always was under the impressions that forums are to help clarifi what you dont understand. This is what I read https://www.videohelp.com/forum/userguides/141024.php
Beintot this is telling me to use ISO mode and I do not have a DVD writer. I was under the impression I did not need one. Please Help.
