    Do you want to store the video only, or do you want to watch it too.
    If you want to watch it on PC only, compress to DivX with VirtualDub.
    If you want to play it on a standalone dvd player, you have to convert to MPEG. http://www.vcdhelp.com/convert.htm
    The smaller the file size, the lower the quality.
