can i plug the composite cable to the tv +play and use a scart lead between the tv and video recorder.![]()

No, you need to plug the composite cable into your VCR. Just about every VCR I know of has composite plugs. I'm not familar with an scart lead, but I don't think that type of cable is needed.

First I am just guessing your playing your Divx on your computer. So based on that.
You will need a video card capable of TV out. Ether thru a S-Video or Rca.
Then all your really need to do is hook it up thru your vcr to a tv.
Keeping in mind that most video card need the signal from your TV to display a pic thru that cable Thus the Tv at the end of the loop
