  1. I just downloaded the "New, Improved TMPGEnc 12j and it will not convert my .avi files. It says they are not compatable. I've never had a problem with earlier versions. Can someone PLEASE HELP!!!?

    To convert DivX videos you have to install a DivX Codec, if you already have those codecs.. try opening TMPGENc, click on settings, go to the system tab, and keep changing the stream type until it will allow you to load and convert the avi file. thats what the problem was for me. sorry i cant help anymore, hope ya figure it out.

  3. I had this same problem with version 12i. What I discovered was that some older versions will load some avi files that newer versions won't. No idea why. What I do is keep version 12a installed as well as the latest version. If the 12i/12j wont load a file, I try 12a and so far they've worked.
