OK - this is what you need.

    1 VCR
    2 portable TV
    3 s-video cable
4 line-in to line in cable

tune in the TV to the VCR and connect the s-video and line-in cables from the graphics card to your VCR (you'll probably need a scart adapter to do this)

enable the two display mode of the graphics card (somewhere on the taskbar you'll find the ATI icon - right click and then go to the monitors section and chose to output to monitor 2 - your PC monitor will change resolution and piss about a bit. If not, change resolution to something very low, otherwise the output to the TV will not fill the screen properly.

now find the computer signal on the VCR (if you're using a scart it will be one of the EXTensions)

adjust the monitor dimensions at the ATI icon so that the image of your desktop fills the portable TV nicely. Don't expect much clarity, portable TV's aren't meant to be used with PCs.

once you've got the signals sussed then you're ready to record, but when you do, be sure to move the mouse off screen first (otherwise it will record the mouse cursor too!)

    Regards,

These Connections sound great, but what about sound? I'm unfamiliar with an S-video connection and thought its meant only for video. Not for both audio and video like an coaxial cable. I thought with S-video, you'd have to run an Y-splitter with RCA jacks out of the sound card to the VCR to get sound as well. Would appreciate an reply to let me know if you can get both audio and video with an S-video connection out of the video card to the recorder.

That's what you use the line-in to line-in cable for.
