What is the best program to use to capture video in the MPEG-1/2 format and at 640 X 480 with 30 frames per second. I previously was using PowerVCR II v3.0 but it is not cutting it anymore. So I want to use a new program. Any ideas people?

I have an ATI TV-Wonder PCI

  3. for realtime mpeg1 capture try intervideo windvr2.0 , (with motion vector at 16), it gives much better result than powervcr even at equal bitrates.
