DVD decrypter did not automatically select the following files:
video_ts.ifo
video_ts.bup
vts_01_0.bup
When I tried to burn the dvd2one transcoded files, Nero threw up a warning message that the above files were not available. BTW, I am using the Video DVD burn option in Nero. Rather than try burning the files, I just ran DVD decrypter again and manually selected these files. DVD decrypter did select these files for another DVD I was backing up. Is there a reason why DVD decrypter did not automatically select these files in one case and did in another? Do I really need them?
For one DVD backup, the DVD decryptor selected files only took up 3.55GB, but after DVD2one got through with it, it was only 2.9GB. Why did DVD2one needlessly remove data. Is there another way to transcode that would not shrink the files size down? It seemed like the audio level was lower when I played the DVD2one transcoded files through PowerDVD compared to the DVD decrypter files.

First, DVD Decryptor while in "file mode" will only select the main movie files. You need to hold the "Ctrl" key down and select the other three files yourself. Then rip them ALL to the hard drive. Since you already have the main movie files, just select those three files seperately, and it will take less then a second to rip. Then do your procedure again. It sounds like you did just that, but just keep that method in mind for future reference.

You don't need those files before transcoding with DVD2One because it will create new ones during processing. Just load into DVD2One what DVDdecrypter selects by default in File Mode.
