If TMPGEnc freezes or crashes when converting or you receive errors such as
Unexpected decimal point calculation
Illegal floating decimal point calculation order
Try first to change the codec reader settings in TMPGEnc under Option->Environmental settings->VFAPI plug-in and right click on the DirectShow Multimedia File Reader and increase the priority to 1 or 2 and try open the video.
Or try to convert the audio to wav before converting(If you have problems extracting the audio using Virtualdub try use Goldwave or AVI2WAV).
Or try to repair the AVI,DivX or the ASF.
Or try to use avidefreezer to fix your video source.Hello. -
yes, tommy is right.....
when that error message shows up during ur encoding it can really piss u off cause the encoding process will end there. believe me, i had this message come up more times than i can count. and for me, its always the same reason why it does this. the reason why this error message shows up is b/c at the point of the error message, there is a bad frame or couple of bad frames( could be as long as a couple of secs. or mins.) u can either encode up to before that point of error on the and start the other part of encoding once u've passed the bad frames, them join them together using the tmpge tools
or download asftools from the tools section on the left side of this website and fix this avi file
and i also heard that u can use virtualdbud to fix avi files as well...i hope i gave u some more insight
