  1. I used TINRA to convert a 34Mb .rm file to a 2Gb .avi file.
Now I'm useing VirtualDub according to the conversion HowTo on this web site. I notoced it saved an avi file at 16Mb but it's never changed file size. It's been going for 20hrs so far.

Also I noticed that in the VirtualDub main window it says "Dub in progress" but the percent always stays at 0. The pop up window shows the following info:
    Current Video Frame: 0/10623
    Current Audio Sample: 8192/58013983
    Video Data: 0 Bytes
    Audio Data: 0 Bytes
    Projected File Size: Unknown
    Video Rendering Rate: 0.0fps

My machine is an AMD Athlon T-Bird running at 1.2G/26FSB
    PC-133 512Mb RAM

    Thanks for your time

  2. You may not have a proper avi. I believe there is a filesize limit to avi files of 2GB. Maybe Tinra quit producing an avi because it reached 2GB. VirtualDub may choke on this avi.
This may be the cause I don't have a solution I'm afraid. Hope this helps you though.
    Regards,
