  1. Have tried to rip a dvd with OSEx, but it just makes the folder with the m2v and ac3 files in ...then it stops and nothing happens, the files says zero k, when running a info on them??????

    Why wont it run.....have the latests version of OSEx, also tried older ones...stlll the same....

  2. Did you allow the Apple DVD player software to start after inserting the DVD? You need to do that in order for the DVD to be authenticated. After Apple DVD player starts up, just quit it.

  3. Thx, just tried that, but dvd player quits when i insert the dvd also....
    Hmm I have installed a dvd-r pioneer 105 in my mac......is that the problem that it's not a apple superdrive...wont the mac accept 3 parts..

  4. If you are trying to make an exact copy of the dvd (as long as its under 4.3 gigs), then choose dvd image, not elementary streams. As for the dvd player to start up first to authenticate, thats not true. I turned off the automatic start up for the apple dvd player and osex works fine. I don't know about how the file size was at zero....do you have sufficient space where you are saving to?

    This might help:

    Go to Disk Utility, select your hard drive partition (the one the system is installed on) and go to Disk First AID, then click "repair disk permissions" and see if that repairs anything... you should do this often.... then try apple dvd player.. and osex
