    How do u turn off the process telecine before decoding the video ???
    it didn't do this before but now everytime i want to change an avi into mpg it would first go through processing the telecine which takes about 30 mins before it starts to actually decode the video ?? is this an option i can turn off ??? please help ...

    Go to Settings-->Advanced tab and uncheck the Inverse Telecine tab.

    i've already encoded my video with that option checked, so i'm wondering what this option does ?? would i have to reencode it ???

    That is how your turn the option off. I would start from before you used this option and encode it without this option if you do not wish to use it. If you send the telecined file through this process again, you are encoding it again.
