What DVD-R/RWs have a silver recording surface?
Is there a list somewhere?
I asked this in a previous post but got no answer.
****** OR *******
What DVD set top players can play "purple" or "violet" recording surfaces on DVD-R/RW?
Anyone?![]()

Kevinator , your question is too bland buddy. From my understanding MOST standalone players, IF THEY CAN read the DVD-/+R format, will play the purple recording surface. I have used several types of media thus far, and they ALL have a purple color, whether lighter or darker, on the write side. If you want to know more about what standalones work better for multi-format, go to the DVD PLAYER tab on this site. Take your time and go through the different standalone players and read what other users have written. As far as a "silver" recording surface goes, to my knowledge NO DVD-R's or RW's have a silver recording side. The majority of DVD blank media will have a coloration of either "purple" or blueish.
