I usually use virtualdub to rip the audio of TNG serious. usually i use full processesing mode, cause i get these vbr errors. in season 4. when i ipen the avi i dont get the vbr error. so they won't let me rip the audio in full process. instead I have to do it with direct stream. now after buring the movie i would hear these skits sound in the movie.? anyone know how to fix this?

What makes you think that? You can still use full processing mode in vdub in this case, VBR or not. That might solve your problem.

  4. You have a missing audio codec. get gspot and it will tell you exactly which codec you need (its probably Ac3!).

  5. ok. i found out that its ac3. that explain why it said in the file information that the audio is unknow and 2 channel.. but the quality of the sound after encoding sound horrible. anything to make it better? or make it 5 channel? after using virtual dub i use headac3he.

  6. Ok so let me guess, you extracted the audio from the avi with vdub using direct stream copy and converted to wav or mp2 with headac3he. Is that about right?

If that is what you have done then I don't know of any way to improve it, sorry.
