  1. Salut!

ive experienced problems with a downloaded video file coded with the xvid codec (it says so...)

when im trying to watch it, it is green at the beginning and turns into a lot of blocks (so it is absolutley unwatchable...)

i have win xp, nimos codec, the divx 502 and of course the xvid codec installed. i tried several players like winmedia, zoomplayer, power dvd nothing worked.

with my other pc (win98, all the codecs) i dont have those problems. the same videofile runs smoothly and with no green or "blocky" image.

what is the problem? does it depend on my video card or the driver (msi gf4 4200, detonator 41..)???

    pls help!

  2. Download this and then try to play your Xvid AVI:

    http://ffmpeg.sourceforge.net

    FFMpeg.

Also install: divx 3 &4. And for Xvid: try Ffdshow.

I had this problem. I uninstalled Nimo and installed stand alone XviD. Problem solved.
