I just got this recorder for my bday, i was wonder what the difference between the XP/SP/LP/EP is for a regular DVD player,
I have 2 DVD PLayers, 1 is a sony DVP-NS700P and the other AWIA XD-DV370, this disc i recorder will not play on either of them,
Any suggestions?

One important thing to note is that the E30 records on either DVD-RAM or DVD-R. If you use the DVD-RAM, it will not play on most DVD players.

XP: 1 hour per disc (bit rate ~ 9500 Kbits/sec)
SP: 2 hour per disc (bit rate ~ half of the above)
LP: 4 hour per disc (half again)
EP: 6 hour per disc (~ 1500 Kbits/sec)
LP and EP really sucks in quality (for me)ktnwin - PATIENCE -
So far, i've only tried those two players, i really do not want to buy a new dvd play i would figure since the sony is less than a year old, it should support it.Originally Posted by musher70

Did you finalize the DVD-R?
Did you check the DVD Players compatibility list to see if your DVD players can play DVD-R? -
Thanks guys, that was my problems, apparently i did not finalize the CD correctly.
Thanks everyone!
