problems with motion menus?

i have tryed to do a chapter sequence for my svcd using TSCV i got the chapter part right but when i try to put the motion chapters in place it says its doing it but i got noting but a black box. in all 6 chapter boxes?

i went with the how to on this site and one from doom9 and the orginal germany site but that last site wasnt very effective for me.

i have also tryed using vcd easy and managed to get chapters and a still menu but again no motion menu?
and when i try to capture useing vcd easy on the chapter page it say incorect codec but i have them all installed. i can see the video play with sound but just cant capture?

is there a how to etc... that doesnt use the dvd rip part ?. they all seem to need straight from the dvd my source is the svcd ?

any help or direction would be most appreciated

sorry one last thing i too had a problem with designating any chapter # above 6 with vcd easy under interactiveity > over ride this default assignment the chapters there but it wont let me input any onther #?
the drop down box is there but its just blank?
