I know this has been discussed alot here but none of it directly relates to my problem.

Recently I've had lip sync problems with around half of my downloaded divx/xvids. This has never happened before and I'm not doing anything diffrently. I have created lots of VCDs and never had this problem. Here is how I usually convert an avi to VCD:

search for bad frames and remove if any using VDub mp3
Save the sound uncompresed using regular vdub
    Convert to mpeg using TMPGEnc
    Aurthor with VCDEasy

    Can anyone help?

  2. stop using mili vanili software. Sorry couldnt resist....

More than likely the divx file is less than the standard frame rate and the person who made the divx did a cheapo job on making the divx. There is a guide in the guide section (one of the newer ones) that will fix the issue. Basically, you have to see where the lip sync goes out, copy the time down. extract the audio, fix it, remux it, then reburn it.
