  1. Here's the thing. I downloaded some divx movies for my son and planned on converting them to vcd on 1 disk. I extracted the .wav file, and used TMPG to encode and fit on one disk. All went well until I tried to play it in my DVD player. Obviously the audio and video don't match up.
What can I do to match these up, and still make it able to fit on one disk? All help is appreciated.

  8. Ok. tried it. it wants me to use VirtualDub. For some reason my VirtualDub won't work for me. I had to use another program to extract the .wav file. Any other ideas? I really appreciate the help.

  11. I went to the section you recommended. It was the last one of the section, titled, "How to fix audio sync problems in a AVI, DIVX, ASF FIle. It was very confusing to me. It routed me off to another site. It took me to some DOOM9.net. This site is very confusing. Nonetheless, it wanted me to use VirtualDub. For some reason, I can't get VirtualDub to work on my system. I don't know if it has anything to do with XP, but if you have any other words of advice, please do.

well it seems that you need to do alot more reading/research. you don't have a problem with your file, you have a problem with virtual dub.

trust me when i say that virtual dub is going to be one of your best friends.you just need to figure out how to use it on your system(IE. any conflicting programs, missing vdub files, etc.)

  15. Alright, try using VirtualDubMod it's a lot better then VirtualDub, almost the same interface, has new features. I forgot where I got it from, try searching for it.

VirtualDubMod, I heard their is a new plugin that you can install and you can also open VOB/Mpeg2 files aswell.

Try that out and see if that works.

Another really handy program you can use is Goldwave, for audio editing. It's really good. Try that out aswell.

Both these programs are user friendly and pretty easy to understand.

Try reading and researching a little bit also.

    Reply back.
