I would like to know if I were to burn a 4X DVD and then played it in a 16X DVD drive, would the drive read it at 4X or 16X? Same thing with a CD, if I burn a CD whose max burn speed is at 32X, can a CD-ROM read it at 48X or only 32X since it's a 32X CD?

whatever the drive speed is.... those numbers only refer to the "burnable" dye on the discs
