Hi...
A stupid question..but yet...Can i write a Vcd on a CD-W?
I want to convert my AVI's audio to a linear PCM format... Can a VCD work with this stream type?
Do most of the DVD work with mpeg-1 format or do they work with
mpeg-2?
Please help!!

I guess you mean CD-RW. Yes, no problem. Some DVD players can't play nothing but CD-RW (besides DVD). The process for creating a VCD on CD-R and CD-RW is identical.
VCD Audio is MP2 multiplexed with a M1V video stream. Most encoders(?? At least TMPGEnc) can take PCM wav as input for this.
DVD is MPEG2.
